The Health Room and the office staff are here to assist your student with any immediate health need.

Flu Shot Clinic: Shoo the Flu!

The flu shot clinic is open to all STEM families and staff that sign up below.

Time: 7:30 am - 8:20 am
Location: Middle School Health Office
Vision and Hearing screenings will be scheduled later in the year.  We will keep you posted! 

Please note:  Tylenol will not be administered to any students in the health room.

Over the Counter: 

ONLY Middle and High school students may bring to school and administer their own “Over the Counter” medication provided they carry only enough for one day.  Students using poor judgment in carrying and taking their own medication will have such medication confiscated by school personnel, and parents or guardian will be notified. 

Prescriptions 

6th, 7th, and 8th grade students may bring to school and administer their own prescription medication provided they carry only enough for one day and have the self administration ”Permission to Carry Medication” form on file in the school office.  Students using poor judgment in carrying and taking their own medication will have medication confiscated by school personnel, and parents or guardian will be notified.  A structured plan will then be developed for the administration of the medication.  Any parent or guardian who chooses not to sign the “Permission to Carry Medication” form may request that a structured plan be devised for his or her student.

High school students may bring to school and administer their own prescription medication providing they carry enough for one day.  Students using poor judgment in carrying and taking their own medication will have such medication confiscated by school personnel, and parents or guardian will be notified.  A structured plan will then be developed for the administration of the medication.  A structured plan will then be developed for the administration of the medication.  Any parent may also request that a structured plan be devised for their student.

To request the school to administer prescription medication: The parent or guardian must complete a “Student Medication Request and Release Agreement ” and have it on file in the school office for each medication or change of medication.   Please furnish the medication in the original pharmacy labeled container and sealed in an envelope.  The pharmacy label must state the student’s name, medication, dosage, number and/or time(s) of dosages per day and the name of the prescribing physician.  The medication will be administered by school personnel, only in accordance with the instructions on the prescription label.
