Quick Guide to Systems and Accounts
For parents that have students who have just started at STEM, you can get your own Canvas account that allows you to observe their progress in our Learning Management System (LMS) called Canvas.
To start your account and add your first student, follow the directions here.
Once you have the account set up, you can add additional students with the directions here.
Once you have a Canvas account, you can modify the notifications that you receive from your students teachers. You log into your Canvas account and click on "Account" located in the left hand menu bar. Choose "Notifications." You can then detail how you want to be notified. - You can find your children's report cards at the end of the semester and transcripts year around (look under the reports tab).
If you need assistance getting back in to your account follow these simple instructions
- Student schedules:You may view your schedules in your student portals on your mobile/computer devices. Download the Infinite Campus app. The Douglas County District I.D. is QKKYJL. Your student login info is: Last name, first name initial, middle name initial. Password: Dcsd, your student number.

Google App informationDouglas County School District provides students and staff access to Google Apps for Education, a collaborative suite of web-based programs providing email, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, calendaring and other productivity tools.
Google Apps for Education aligns with our 21st century teaching practices, as well as with the DCSD's Board of Education's End Statements and the DCSD Strategic Plan. In line with DCSD's Choice objective, each school leader can individually decide what tools shall be available for use in their building.
As a parents and guardians, you can access your student's Google Apps account login information through the Infinite Campus' Parent Portal. After logging into your Parent Portal account, click on the Student Account Info link in the left column to see your student's current username and password.
How do I report instances of my student receiving inappropriate or threatening emails?
If your student receives any questionable communications which you feel need to be addressed, please contact your student’s school as soon as possible and request to share your concerns with the school administrator.

Please note: As a District provided service, we have the obligation and right to monitor and view any student inbox based on concerns over privacy, security, and/or technical issues.
What if I prefer my student to not have a Google account; how do I opt my student out?
If you prefer that your student is not provided with a DCSD Google Apps for Education account, please contact your school registrar; they will assist with turning off Google Apps for your student.
Be sure to double check your student's schedule changes were made. If there are still any holes, the student should report to the appropriate office. If your student does not have an assigned Math course, please have them report to the Middle School office during the open period on their schedule.morning to make sure that noMiddle and High School Students: Please remember you MUST print out your schedule prior to the first day of school and bring it with you. The offices will NOT have the ability to print off schedules for you. You may also view your schedules in your student portals on your mobile/computer devices.
