Meet the Teachers!
Angela Bond comes to us having just completed a Masters Degree in Teaching from the University of Northern Colorado, with a focus in Elementary Education. Her undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Before becoming a teacher, Angela worked as a Software Consultant with Deloitte Consulting and as a Project Manager at a small start up software company in Austin.
Angela has a passion for teaching and strives each day to bring out the best in each student. She chose to teach elementary school because she likes the diversity of teaching each of the core subject areas. She chose STEM because she loves the ability to teach the Engineering Design Process every day! Angela integrates technology, guest speakers, interactive presentations, and hands on learning into her lessons daily.
Angela is a Texas Native, but has lived in Highlands Ranch for 13 years. She loves the mountains, the 4 seasons, and all of the outdoor opportunities that living in Colorado provides. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and reading books.
This past May, Stephanie Baldwin received her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado, with an emphasis in Language Arts.
Stephanie knew she was going to love what teaching had in store for her and her students, but teaching at STEM proves to hold so much more. Being able to teach students at STEM using the engineering design process, technology, and problem based learning makes learning in the classroom so much more authentic. Stephanie strives to make the learning memorable and loves learning with her students. There is always something new and exciting to discover in our World.
Stephanie grew up as a military child, with her father being in the Air Force, so she has lived all over including Texas, Panama, and Germany. Her family moved to Colorado when she was in the 4th grade, and now she can't imagine living anywhere else. When she isn't hanging out with her family, she loves traveling, reading, baking, and crocheting.
